I was hired to play on a folk album recently and got to meet the owners of Constant Sound Studio. Truly great people, and amazing sound. If you need some recording or web-design in or around Ottawa, you should consider Kate and Hollis.

The final Spontaneous Act of Music in my month long commitment went down with a room full of hockey fans at the James Bay Inn. We were singing O’Canada after the Canadian mens hockey team won the gold medal in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.
This time I went at about 10:30 and played some O’Canada in front of the Safeway near my house which has both an overhanging roof for protection from the rain and a liquor store across the parking lot which might be why it gets a lot of night traffic. Tonight shoppers got a randomly patriotic, olympic double bass playing O’Canada to talk about with their late night groceries.
Played some music for everybody who happened to be inside the coffee shop I stopped at in Nanaimo on the way to Cumberland to record with Nikole.
